I guess I'm really out of touch. I saw this coming a mile away weeks ago when she started her pathetic little tour. But another uscho poster told me on bluesky that I am "literally the only person on bluesky who isn't shocked by this"

You acted like I was a complete fool for not being happy with Amy's response. As a few others on here can attest, my bff was amy's COS for years, so yeah, i understand how these things work. But thank you, again, for misunderstanding my post and explaining it to me like I'm fucking five.

You are imagining this bullshit. I don't know where this defensiveness comes from (He lied... I know exactly where it comes from. A lifetime of programming of local populists slupring up the locals, just like every other place on the planet, but you are supposed to be smart enough to see through that -- especially if you know somebody in the biz), but it aint from me.

Even if the post was not ideal for you, it was intended to be helpful for others. And I did take time to talk to Bonni and she took time to think about her answer.

But here's the thing. If that throws you and your ilk into Prairie Snit, then fuck you. I am not responsible for your regional mental illness.
 
I am going to preface this by making it clear that I am not defending Kepler. He can definitely be annoying and full of himself. However, so can I, and I think Kep and I are somewhat similar. Sure, he has about 25 years on me and the advantages of the Ivy League Social Club, but I mean personalitywise. We're both sponges who've soaked up a lot of informational and factual tidbits, while sorting through reams of bullshit over the years. Combine that with introversion and (I suspect) only-childhood, and you get someone who just tries to contribute to a conversation in any way that they think they can, not realizing when they're being annoying.

Work it out in therapy, Kep. Not everyone needs to know how bright and informed you are 24/7/365, least of all the posters of a college hockey message board. Show, don't tell.

All of us here are presumably smart enough* to know how the world works, and that things like talking to constituents about Congressional votes or basic economics, have to be dumbed down for Cranky Cleetus and Kvetching Karen.

*Yes, even the SCSU and eNeMa U grads. 😜

Im surprised she quit cause she can run after the Midterms without issue (now that her Senate bid is dead) but everything else is pretty obvious stuff and every pundit on Bluesky was talking about it. When they didnt back her for Senate she had no reason to bite their tongue and calling her a traitor...well that was point of no return.

There arent many people I loathe as much as her but we need to stay out of her way and let her cook. If she is untethered she could be like The Joker causing chaos anywhere and everywhere.
 
Someone tried to defend her actions by saying it wasn't much of a pension. LOL. Regardless, the pension she receives after 5 years is infinitely better than the one she would receive after 4 years and 11 months.
 
True but like, we’re talking about something like 8k per year starting in ten years. It’s worth $250,000. I actually have zero issue with her doing this. She was elected three times, this is the law, the voters should have considered that (lol)

Again, yeah, that’s $250k she didn’t have before.
