My best friend from high school and my 20s, while not a MAGAt, did not mind January 6. This guy is an attorney. He is all wrapped up in the Statists are taking away our rights argle bargle. Supported Brexit, wants the EU to disband. Thinks US support of Ukraine is a "scam" for defense contractors.
Cognitive dissonance. Selective perception. Confirmation bias. Epistemic closure. They do not just come for the dummies, they are always lurking in the shadows for all of us. It is scary.

We will see if this administration releases any more job numbers this year, which took a hit today with Verizon laying off 13,000 employees (my wife was one of them). Most of the cuts were workers and not management, it sounds like.
More layoffs supposedly coming in early 2026 as the new CEO has a $20 million bonus if he gets Verizon's stock back to a certain level. He did the same thing at Paypal, cut jobs, got his bonus and left.
