Michigan Hockey...

I'm not trying to troll Michigan but couldn't more effort gone into your jerseys for the Wrigley game? They just look so plain compared to the other three teams.

It shouldn't take most of the 1st to start playing. Last few minutes were exciting, but before that too much hockey on the North end, not where I want it in the 1st or 3rd
 
Congrats on the OT win. Both teams had some exciting moments of Oh Yeah and Whew!
It was good seeing you WT, the alumni band was loud & clear and I can't believe the parasite is 5, she's so cute! I'm afraid I'll blink and you'll be showing me pictures of her graduation next. Dang I feel old!
 
Saturday night was fun, but Friday...ugh. Really needed those points.

Currently sitting on the wrong side of the bubble, a tenuous lead for home ice and the number 2 and number 3 teams on the slate for next series. Anything can happen when we play State. Minnesota will be at Yost. If we can get some points from either series that'll be great for conference standings and pairwise.
 
We were able to get 3 points last weekend. Can we get another 3 this weekend?

Michigan and Minnesota is usually very entertaining hockey to watch. I hope this week is no exception.
 
Thursday at 8 and Friday at 6, what is this craziness? Go Blue.
Only 1 point ahead of PSU. Gotta get points and cheer for Minnie against PSU so we can have some more home hockey this year.

Notre Dame with finish last, Wisconsin will finish 6th (they have a bye week so can't earn more B1G points). Michigan and Penn State will play in the 4 v. 5 playoff, who will host is yet to be determined. We're 8 points back from aOSU so even a sweep couldn't get us to 3rd.

The officiating wasn't hot tonight, either. But that certainly wasn't why we were swept. That was an incredibly underwhelming pair of games.

I know I've asked this before, but what in the world do they do at practice? I expect that the team should be getting better at every aspect of the game during the season, but that team looked a lot worse than I remember seeing in November. Passing, positioning, anticipation, movement, hustle, all of it.

Oh, well.
 
It is pretty impressive what Penn State has done over the last month plus. I wouldn't be shocked if they kept it going the next two weeks. They certainly dominated last night.
 
Divver reporting RHD Henry Mews to michigan.

There has been rumors floating around on this one for a while (going NCAA, landing spots included BC), but if Divver is speaking on it appears to be crystallizing. If this is true, this is one of the most high-end prospects going from CHL to NCAA.

Calgary Flames 2024 3rd rounder, offensive defenseman, Sudbury Wolves' big trade deadline acquisition. They're a bubble playoff team. Between Sudbury and Ottawa he has 80 points in 63 games. NHL level shot, good power play QB, good skater, can be chaotic.

Also the son of Northeastern Hall Of Famer Harry Mews. It was rumored that part of the trade from Ottawa came from disputes about him leaving to NCAA next year, but he's unlikely to need the OHL scholarship as much when he's already NHL drafted and highly regarded. Not a perfect player by any mean, but he could use the bump in talent around him since he can't go AHL and OHL is becoming too easy for him.

Odd early off season so far- the only person who is going pro is Ethan Edwards. But he was a senior anyway.

I guess we have to wait for the off season pro team workouts with the draft picks now.

And I have no clue how to see the whole portal thing. A search shows nothing for us that I can see.

For sure, we need another goalie- if I read the 2025 commits list right, there are no goalies coming via that.
