Sun Devil Hockey

Some great games at the Desert Hockey Classic again this year. Perfect hockey weather, cool in the mid to upper 70's, a few scattered winter clouds floating by.....

Good win by ASU last night. We never got anything frightening on their backup goalie. Solid effort from a solid team and a well deserved victory.

Good luck the rest of the season.

Thanks (as if I had anything to do with it). I did not expect that outcome. Helps to be playing on home ice with home crowd.

Great sweep of Miami on their home ice, aka "Stanford of the Midwest", "Ivy of the Midwest". They were the only NCHC school to vote against inviting ASU into the NCHC because it'd cost them too much money to travel to Arizona.

Split series, both games went to overtime, great series & the tailgating in bright sunshine, 75 F was great! Had to go into the arena to cool off! 😉

They should just go join the CCHA. it would cut their travel by 70%

Craig Morgan with some good news on the portal:
Hearing Logan Morrell (6-3, 194-pound, right-handed center) is heading to ASU.
He grew up in Mesa and played for the Jr. Coyotes.
Morrell was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team for the 2024-25 season.
He will attend Boston Bruins development camp this summer.
