    I would be astounded if Joe Pavelski has any interest in traveling North America to recruit college hockey players after spending a good portion of his adult life away from home as an NHL player. A big part of this job is recruiting, and not on a phone from Wisconsin.

    UND seemed out of sync for a lot of the game. They vaguely reminded me of the Badgers during our bad streak. Couldn't make passes, struggled to break the puck out, etc.

    Maybe it's too much to ask for the first period Badgers to show up for the entire game on Saturday. That team is as good as any in D1 hockey this year, and would be difficult to defeat.
