RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

I'm surprised that Mathias isn't "scouring Europe" right now. Perhaps all the upheaval in student visa programs and pressure to reduce international student populations has made Europe less attractive for near term recruiting. Looking at Heisenberg's list I see even fewer direct from Europe...

RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

Well, I believe we just had the first senior day where not a single player being honored enrolled in Troy as a freshman. Players come and players go, either to maximize their personal situation or because the program is "upgrading" their spot. I used to resent players that I felt "used" our...

I don't know what it is, but my "medication" guy said all the games will look much better.

Lang and company have their first 3 game winning streak. 9 more and it's all ours..........

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Yes, I'm old fashioned and naive so you don't have to tell me. I know there will be turnover beyond the 4 guys on senior day, but I hope that it is relatively mild. I've enjoyed watching this team improve over the last couple of months as it bought into Coach Lang's system. I also want to...

    Harvard Hockey 2025-'26: Crimson Ascending

In fairness to Harvard and Ted Donato (words I never thought I'd write), those high level commitments generally expect to enroll at a much younger age. I see that Ryan Healey has been the subject of much derision on this board (should have gone to Dad's alma mater Ryan), but will he even be 22...

A lot more RPI jerseys in the crowd than Yale’s.

I take it back -the Yale band (at most 20 or so) just came in and took a new position on the home side. RPI has at least as many.

It’s 1/2 hour before face-off, but it’s pretty apparent this is going to be a friends and family crowd. Yale cares so little about hockey that they have the RPI band sitting where the Yale band used to be.

    Colgate 2025-26

Was Lang even an option when Harder was hired? I know he was rumored to be a leading candidate a number of years back for several jobs but he either ended up not interviewing or withdrawing from the search. IIRC SLU was an example of the latter. He seemed to be remarkably loyal to his alma...
