With Cornell's success in the ECAC Tournament and so far in the NCAA Regional, 'Gate's loss to the Big Red in the ECAC quarterfinals stings (a little) less. Good luck to Cornell and Quinnipiac in the NCAA tournament.
Hockey East and ECAC go 3-0 against the Big Ten in Thursday's games, outscoring them 10-1 in the 3rd period. The perseverance shown by underdogs Cornell, UMass (and Minnesota State) to come back in the third periods was truly enjoyable to watch as a fan of good hockey.
The 'Gate team was real fun to watch this year. Even when down by a goal or more, I never felt like they didn't have a chance to come back – and many times they did. So proud of the women skaters.
Like for other 'Gate fans, it was a disappointing weekend for me. Cornell earned the wins.
I come away from the season impressed with the performance of the 'Gate skaters and coaches. Given the number of losses to the transfer portal, I had low expectations. The season was frustrating at times...

Well, the group think (contest AVG) didn't correctly predict the season records, but it got the Lake Placid participants correctly.
With Clarkson beating Q in overtime, the Union-Colgate game tomorrow will definitely be for third / fourth place. Since Union beat Colgate in a shootout, I believe the winner of tomorrow's game (if the win is in regulation or overtime) gets third. I don't know what the next tie breaker is if...
