The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I knew what you meant, and I certainly didn’t make that clear in my post.
I have no issues with you or anyone else on here for that matter. It’s a message board. You are my blue brethren in the sea of red I reside in. I come here to chill, not get riled up.
Of the remaining semi-regular posters on the Cafe, we're all united, even ticap. No way someone can spend countless hours campaigning for a political candidate in Kamala Harris and not be VBNMW. No way Kamala Harris is the gold standard of the Left, and I remember arguing on here that Kamala...
This is where I think Kepler gets it wrong. It’s not Centrist versus Left, it’s rich versus poor, and there are plenty of rich (social) progressives who vote for the Democrat who is not pounding the drum to raise taxes on the rich.
The VBNMW crowd on here are not centrists…pragmatists and realists, claro, but not centrists.
People saying they’ll vote for Collins over Platner are, by definition, not VBNMW. Actions speak louder than words…
I know we had some people on here say they didn’t like Platner, based on his Nazi...
In a 6-3 ruling, SCOTUS effectively says that it’ll continue to stay out of state redistricting/gerrymandering issues, like it said it would, by striking down Louisiana’s majority black district, because it was an unconstitutional gerrymander. Wait, them ruling on such a matter means they stayed...
#2. That’s it. End of story. If the “Right” was Chuck Schumer, Cory Booker, and moderate Democrats, like basically everywhere else in the developed world, I wouldn’t be having this type of conversation. It’s not, and because it’s not, you don’t get to take your ball and go home in this...
But Cory Booker doesn’t get it? You’re talking in circles here. Cory Booker is also saying “Fuck you” to Tlaib. Do we know if she didn’t vote for sure? I disagree with her not voting if she didn’t, but of all the people I can understand not voting, Tlaib would be one as she actually had family...
Yes, thank you for your efforts that were clearly in vain. It doesn’t answer my question. At the end of the day, these people pointed to your efforts and said “Fuck you, Kamala Harris can’t answer what she would have done differently than the man who helped cap insulin at $35.” At the end of the...
I understand. I remember people mocking Tlaib on here for refusing to say whether she’d vote for Biden/Harris. I defended her then, and I’d defend her now. I disagree with the way to send a message. Not voting is the weakest response. Corporate Democrats won’t change their stripes because “The...
Why?? I’m the “Left Bloc”, and I have been here since 2006, voting for Bernie, wishing I could vote for AOC, Warren, etc. Are we truly the fucking snowflakes the Right makes us out to be? Our candidate is good on 90% but not Israel so stay home? Our candidate didn’t talk enough about economic...
What doesn’t he get? Like lol. You stayed home, go fuck yourself. I’m not going to tiptoe around that. You DID help Trump win. Fuck your feelings.
Edit: Not YOU, obviously. The “aggrieved” people who think they know better.
Is that the only issue? Or are there more issues for the voter to decide which candidate supports their views?
If that voter is only a one-issue voter, à la the abortion voters we all know [and love, of course!], then the problem, I’m afraid, lies with the voter, not the candidate.
