The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Hard to believe but today is the 20th anniversary of BC's 5-0 beatdown of BU in the Worcester regional final, sending BC to the Milwaukee Frozen Four where they stunned North Dakota in the semis behind a Chris Collins hat trick and got within a whisker of the national title. It was an important...
It's a narrow path with a lot of stipulations but moot anyway since he's not coming back
He is not slide-eligible so any signing of an ELC will burn a year. This is the right call by the Bruins (78% likely to make the playoffs as of this morning) and gives them all sorts of options still for...
I wouldn't. They've been pretty good since New Year's Eve (most of their losses have been productive and come with a point attached) and quite frankly a lot of the pleasant surprises have been the depth forwards and the addition of Reichel does change the game here quite a bit. And you still...
Stiga's issues were documented quite a bit and IIRC a terrible turnover cost them a game (PC maybe?).
How about Sondreal? 1g, 1a in the entirety of 2026 and pointless in the last 13 games. And like Stiga, I think he's a good hockey player. Why can't the coaches get more out of these guys...
Doing the same analysis for Conmy:
27 points this season. 14 were PP/ENGs. 13 EV points (one was 4x4). As was pointed out, only 3 of his 9 goals were even strength goals with a goaltender between the pipes.
I did the work on this just now. Not knocking him in any way just factual information. I took out PP points and points from ENGs.
25 of his 47 points were PP/ENG
22 points seemed to be even strength (although one of those was an assist on the 3x3 OT goal by Gustafsson)
Multi-point EV games...
Last Monday morning report of this God forsaken season...
Don't have the energy for an in -depth post-mortem right now. This was all very predictable and the program is clearly trending downward. Changes are needed. We all know this, the merrymen can cope however they want.
What wasn't...
Chuck over there talking about Conmy pulling an NHL pension just made me spit out my drink. Dear God that's the funniest thing he's probably ever said.
Anyway, I'm surprised BC was able to muster such an effort against Maine on Friday. It is reasonable to ask where this effort was the past few weeks. Obviously we are ride-or-die with Cloutier, as that ship sailed a few weeks ago; he did well on Friday. I think one thing people forget is that...
Make no mistake, NESN (and perhaps ESPN?) has a lot of say in the process. The league works with them on best solutions and each may have to bend in certain situations each season depending on certain variables. Sometimes the league needs a team from far away (Maine/Vermont) to be put into...
Interesting. This will probably be in direct competition with Lovell Academy. A lot of good option$ out there. $$$$$$$$$
Maybe one of the Masters brothers would be a good idea to keep on a coaching short list for the next coaching search?
