The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Ok. You sound sure so I didn’t go crazy with checking, but colgatex2, Quinnipiac, UMass and UVM losses. Then a stretch from Lindenwood game 1 (12/13) until 3rd game vs BU (2/6) where 8 games Maine didn’t have more power plays.
Seemed more than 32% of games getting more PPs for all the wrong...
Lots to say about this year and what’s been happening in close out situations. Maine has been horrible in the 3rd alot
Having said that, two huge factors have gone against Maine: when have they had great goal tending or stole a game? They’ve only had sporadic above average play in the net...
Wow is right. That was a missed pass out of zone by prov with 20 seconds left. They get a flopping goalie and a laser pass. OT of course. Refs were effing horrible
I think inexperience, merging of personalities and talent for team culture, and goal tending are major reasons this team has the outcomes in games we hate to see.
This game was as bad as 2nd UNH game and a prime example.
First period out shoot and out play Providence, but down 2-0 on horrible...
Looking at the OOC games for NPI and predominant best conferences: Hockey East vs NCHC vs BIG 10
15 UConn
16 BC
18 Providence
21 Northeastern
22 Maine
23 BU
26 UNH
40 Merrimack
41 UMass
50 UMass Lowell
51 Vermont
2 North Dakota
4 Minnesota Duluth
7 Western Michigan

Great game. Great win. Had a Maine buddy living out west go and he proudly wore blue. He said the crowd had the traditional Maine representation. Awesome to hear.
Really enjoyable game. Terrible listen. The home broadcasts for teams is littered with homers but the UMass guy tonight took the cake. At one point even mentioning a drinking game about his frequent mentions of playing hockey at UMass. He said “you’d be wasted.”
With the closing of Matthews Arena in December, Maine's away games at Northeastern will be played in Portland on Friday, February 27th and in Lowell on Saturday, February 28th. Locations tentative to change.
I like it. Sometimes the student section is sparsely populated. This new system should keep it full.
I have a cousin who is a current student and his mindset (along with his friends) is hockey games are fun, but no one wants to stand in line for a couple hours and not get in…or feel the need...
Sacred Heart collecting another Black Bear.
Reid Pabich (13/15/28) and Felix Trudeau were 2 of the top 3 scorers this year with Felix leading them - 15/23/38 - 39 games.
Pabich also led the team in +/- with +13
Great stuff. Caught up on all the links this past week. Lots of reading!
With the 26 roster cap in mind:
The 24-25 team carried 28
-15 forwards
-10 defense
-3 goalies
The 25-26 team:
12 forwards
6 defense
1 goalie
= 19 to start
The additional 7 would probably be 6 skaters and a goalie. I...
This LeBron and Mahome’s effect on these kids taking dives and turning every sport into soccer is unbecoming. The 3rd overall seed, 2nd in Hockey East (which had 6 teams in top 11) and Hockey East tourney winner had to play AT the team that finished 5th in the big 10 and was the last at-large...
