The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
also somehow that tie still keeps us at #4 in the NPI. considering i highly doubt weve move up with a win and it was non-conference im happy with the result.
i remember beating elmira in the shootout after that 0-0 tie last year. other than that, i think weve lost every shootout from the ones weve had previosuly in our new years tournament to the one we had last night. once again though manzi struggles against one of the better teams in d3 (naz is...
Also I know there's a really bad snow storm going on but maaaaan the ronnie b was half empty for that game. It was hard to tell if it was stress ball night or dress like a seat night
Great weekend as they managed to pull through 2 trap games. Was the platty game pretty nope but they came back and won which is was great teams do. Puzzling decision by Gosek to start Manzi 2x in row, once again he fails to perform well in the big games ( although I think some of the...
welcome to the club my friend. doesnt matter if the travel partner is skidmore or potsdam going to platty has been a nightmare ever since they started playing hockey. To be honest, those guys have had 3 years of NEHC travel so i just think they had an off day and escaped with one, which is bound...
It's worth noting the 4 biggest public school programs in ny (oz platty Geneseo and Cortland ) all have around 16-18 frosh on their roster including plattys 13 freshman. We all have some young rosters and it's not normal to win right away with so little experience. Cortland and Geneseo spent all...
Well no having 5 regular season losses is a death sentence to most teams at large hopes in that past unless they were in a strong league. Everyone was right to write off Utica at the time. But as one of you pointed out Utica has one of the strongest schedules in the entire NPI. While Hobart...
Good for buff state. They had 16 wins in the previous 4 seasons including a 2 win and 1 win season. Yeah most of their wins are against bottom 15 NPI teams, but sometimes a result like this can flip a switch mentally and who knows maybe they can pull some true upsets in the future.
Not even 15 minutes later and they lose to Anna Maria 1-0. Still somehow they hang on to one of the at large bids. Whats even crazier is their last game is feb 10th. 1st round is March 14th. They could go a whole month without playing.
The final edition of the D3 At-Large Bid Watch/SUNYAC Roundup is here and instead of being a little late I am very late. Luckily not too much to talk about so hopefully this one should be a breeze.
The SUNYAC now currently has an OOC record of 28-29-2 which puts them 7th overall out of the 10...
per a palladium times article, "Gosek said that freshman Michael Manzi is slotted to start in goal for tonight’s game (buff state). Afterward, the staff will make the decision on the starter for Saturday... Every week there is healthy competition for the starting spot in net" It truly seems that...
If D1 arenas become a viable option I vote the 1st predetermine site be one of the alaska schools. Those west teams are always complaining about going out east and alaska doesnt get much further west.
Well since they have 0 fans on here, Id argue to throw UW Eau Claire into that debate. 22-4-2 ranked 4th in the polls and lets not forget the west teams kicked ass for over a decade until Hobart decided to start a dynasty.
