Yea it was hard. I actually was torn about her transferring. If she had loved everything about the school and the team, then I am sure that she would have been fine at Clarkson. This year she was just not happy, so when the opportunity came up at Plattsburgh, she took it and has never looked back. It is an over all better fit for her. She had a ton of friends at Clarkson, but most of them were not hockey people….this fall she just didn't feel like she fit on the team. The first photos I have seen her with the new team are great, she is all smiles and you know as a parent that is the best feeling in the world, to see your kid truly happy.

I was just in Boston this past weekend, what is wrong with the drivers in that city….snow makes them all drive like nuts. The roads were so narrowed by the snow, yet people drive like they are the only ones on the road….Ice, you seem just too normal to claim Massachusetts as your home state How are things going for Stephanie? Kelsey transferred to Plattsburgh and is so much happier. She loves the team, the coaches, and the school. Next time I am up in that area, we need to get a cup of coffee and a whoopie pie

Kessel's 34 points would put him second in scoring on the Bruins but what the heck the Bruins don't need goals..... I'll say it again: I've never met a goalie (or a parent of one) that knows anything about the game!
BTW Good luck with the rest of that BRUTAL CHA schedule. (nice job squeeking by Niagra last weekend) The sad thing is Mercyhurst will probably still finish in the top 4 since you play the Little sisters of the poor coming in but at least it you will have to play one of the Minnesota teams. AND THEY AINT NO WAYNE STATE!!!!!!!

Thanks for the support. Greatly appreciated. Have had a lot of positive rep from various sources. I'll keep up the positive Brown story all year. It's like my contribution to the team. As a parent of a Brown rookie, proud to be part of it, not just the Hockey, but the whole experience. All the rookie parents have been great. Met some great parents of the other players as well. They are all saying this team is better than last year, and the future is looking up....NewbieBear

Not sure how it works exactly, but one person has to request you as a friend, and the other has to accept.
I had to only accept two posters as a friend. One of those acceptions worked and the poster was added to my friend list, The other did not get added. Not sure why. Suspect it might be the way the invitation was sent out.
For many other posters, I sent out the request, and most have since accepted, so they are now in my friends listing (14 in all). You are in my set of 14 friends. I set up my profile such that only friends can see the messages to me. Most of the other details are hidden as well. Only thing public is my general profile info, which is similar to the way it was in the previous version of this fan forum.

To me this conversation options is a good way to have an offline disucssion, but it is not completely private. :sad:
