  • Hi Steve,

Thanks for the note and nice to hear from you. I was super busy myself, organizing the Local Showcase held last weekend. We had 23 teams and about 30 scouts came out. Quebec won the U19, Nepean the U17. Ten more days until our first game. We head to Princeton. Vanessa is now healthy and has been training since June. Hoping for a rebound year after last years injury plagued season. How is Steph doing. Hard to believe she is already a Senior. Our Cass is already in year two of Med School out west. She is now playing hockey with the Boys and loves it. Met her latest boy friend through that endeavor. Well good luck in your job search. At least that is something I don't have to worry about. We are extremely busy at work.

    ...Harry
Hey Steve, Thanks for the note. Sorry to hear about your "forced" change. Been lucky sofar, but in this economy and our fast pace fast changing industry, you never know.

Will be sure to synch up for this weekend, and catch up on old times.....Hope all is well with Steph...You guys got a bit of a bum wrap with the Draw, but as someone said, too many losses will at some point come to bite ya..........While we had a great year of improvements, a bit of a rough year on a personal note for Vinny, as she missed over half the season due to a combination of illness and injuries, out 5 weeks with Mono and then missed the last four weeks due to a concussion. ...Here is hoping for a healthier season next year....Harry
It was great meeting you and the Joneses Friday night. It looks like I wished Mercyhurst too much luck for today's game!! Congrats on the win.
I've confirmed I will be at Friday's game in Erie. I'm not 100% sure what time we'll be arriving. My guess is it'll be shortly before game time, as I will have my wife and 4 month old daughter with me. If we decide to head up earlier, I'll definitely let you know as I would love to grab a beer with you!
I'm hoping to make Friday's game. I'm still finalizing weekend plans with my wife. I should know if we're going for sure in the next day or two. I'll be sure to let you know what we decide. I would love to meet up if we do go.
Yeah Hil gave up some bad goals in the first game. The second she played a little better and she had more shots on her. The cornell series and bc series will determine where this team will go the rest of the season. You know where I'm always am but now I might be up in the press box taking photos.
Makela played her period well just like the other goalies did. She will need some adjusting to the college game. She probably eon't be jumping over Steph at the moment. Hey maybe Sisti will ride Hil the whole season I have no clue. Makela I think is the starter of the future. She might get some games this season along with Steph, but next season they should both get an equal shot at being the number 1. Yes they should have a goalie coach instead of a volunteer assistant. Delaney Collins was helping Makela during practice, but she's a defenseman. Having someone that knows what goes through goalies heads would help them a lot better.
I knew that you are Steph's dad and I understand where you're coming from. I wasn't trying to say the new goalie should be the starter it's just that I'm kinda sick of seeing Hil start. There were many games that I've seen her play that she gives up goals to teams that she shouldn't be giving them up to, mostly CHA teams. I'm all for Steph challenging for the starting spot. I'm a big fan of her and I hope she gets some more playing time this season.
Ice...I'm wondering if I may not be confused after all. Can you tell me what year / season it was you were at Ridder? I thought it was a BC game when we met.
Ya might want to ask DC if you get a chance...I'm pretty sure it was you she introduced me to in between periods at Ridder with a few of us gathered at top of steps near the main entry doors to the rink. Can't guarantee she'd remember though. it was a fairly brief exchange.
Hibernating? Naahhh, I did manage to drop 30 lbs. though! Working hard, working out hard, having fun when and where I can. :) Hope your summer is going well!
Look what you've done. You got the West bandwagon jumpers posting Boys hockey on the womens forum.  :o :o
You are treading in dangerous waters. I would leave this one alone for now.
Frykas also played with palmer and know bestland and if she's friends with bram she knows her sister. I'm hoping she comes here during the frozen four she never left the bench. I know sisti will play her if she does a good job. Here she can be one of the top players at wisconsin she's stuck behind knight and everyone else. Next year's team will be interesting. I just want to see what this team will look like. I don't have many expectations I just hope they have a good season and to see what the new players can do.
I deleted it after I realised how silly the question was, The name rung a bell, but was not sure. When I looked him up remember him as the coach for St-Louis. It made my "Canuck Hockey Centric" comment look silly, as I thought he was the UM basketball coach from yesteryear that pulled the big upset about 15 years ago....Silly me....

Either way it would be good to have a few larger Michigan schools added to the equation.....
