    . Hobart is happy to be with the cool SUNYAC teams. This weekend the Statesmen travel to new rival Plattsburgh and old rival Skidmore to keep the season's streak alive. The Statesman's last loss was January 2025 in OT against Albertus Magnus .

    SUNYAC season starts in 2026 with a strong Cortland team playing tight for two periods until Hobart pulls ahead to win 5-2. Cortland gets two past Beaver as he argues goalie interference on the second to no avail. It is the 59th consecutive win at the Cooler.

    Makes sense, I never really paid much attention until the NCAAs when it impacted seedings and home ice scheduling, despite my attempt to spin the underdog scenario.
