Another portal transfer, James Fisher (F), from Northeastern, looks like a solid power guy. And in an amazing development, William Bishop (D), from the school up the road. This has gotta be a first, and I wonder what the backstory is. He had an assist in our overtime game up at Cheel.

Picked up a player from OSU, Jake Rozzi, who scored some game-winners for the Buckeyes. I note from the OSU bio that he has a younger brother Dylan, who has scored a ton in the QMJHL. Hey, Dylan--come on down!

I was just reminded of the first game I saw at Appleton as a freshman. Michigan State was the opponent, and we won. Time to see past the doom and gloom and just root for the team, I guess. We certainly live in interesting times.

Yeah--unsurprising. Gotta love the portal, eh? What's the long view for a school of our size and location? Hello D3? Yikes.

This year's final NPI: LIU 42, Army 45, Ferris State 56, and SLU 61. Not exactly heavyweights, but fair and balanced!

As the crazy old Larries fan who started this thread, I welcome all comments--good, bad, or meh. I'm just happy to see ANY interest in SLU hockey. Heck, I welcome remarks from fans of the school up the road!

I think everyone agrees that the team played better down the stretch. Do we now have a reasonable expectation of more wins than losses next year? I don't have the local knowledge that Saints#1 has--but I do have hope. On the other hand, look at the pros: Vegas just fired their Cup-winning coach...

Quiet, indeed! This may be the reward for beating the team that just knocked off Qpac.

He's 6ft 8in--I had a fraternity brother who was 6'8", and he was the tallest guy I had ever seen in person. But we pegged him for our frat bball team, not hockey! PS: he didn't play either one. Anyway, move over Fedotov, here comes Bennett!

This season has been quite a trip. Thanks to all for your comments, and October here we come--I, for one, can't wait!

Good grief, Golden--I was hoping never to hear "the 70's" again! Put Morris and Brekke together, and what do you get? 92-185-34. OUCH! In the 70's, Paul Patten's record was 94-127-5, over 8 years. YIKES! We will do better, somehow, right? Joe Marsh, are you listening? Pierre? Somebody?

After the Clarkson weekend, the difference between what I saw early on in the Canisius game and what I see now is massive, even with the last two losses. Losing recruits is a real possibility with a regime change, so maybe Brekke does get another shot. Beating Harvard at Cambridge would help!

SLU fans: our record vs Harvard is 1 win in the last 10 games, so I calculate a solid 10% chance this weekend. I hope the team beats expectations in Cambridge, and if any fans make the trip, I suggest a visit to the Museum of Bad Art during free time. It's a hoot.
