The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
He's 6ft 8in--I had a fraternity brother who was 6'8", and he was the tallest guy I had ever seen in person. But we pegged him for our frat bball team, not hockey! PS: he didn't play either one. Anyway, move over Fedotov, here comes Bennett!
Good grief, Golden--I was hoping never to hear "the 70's" again! Put Morris and Brekke together, and what do you get? 92-185-34. OUCH!
In the 70's, Paul Patten's record was 94-127-5, over 8 years. YIKES! We will do better, somehow, right? Joe Marsh, are you listening? Pierre? Somebody?
After the Clarkson weekend, the difference between what I saw early on in the Canisius game and what I see now is massive, even with the last two losses. Losing recruits is a real possibility with a regime change, so maybe Brekke does get another shot. Beating Harvard at Cambridge would help!
SLU fans: our record vs Harvard is 1 win in the last 10 games, so I calculate a solid 10% chance this weekend. I hope the team beats expectations in Cambridge, and if any fans make the trip, I suggest a visit to the Museum of Bad Art during free time. It's a hoot.
Agreed on Santilli. As for Brown, I'm willing to give a break to a freshman. Regarding the rest of the defense, I'll say that I was hoping Lammens could turn into his dad--maybe he needs another year. The others? Thanks for your service.
Amen--that guy has been spectacular. It's noticeable that the other guys have enough confidence in him to make plays that they weren't making earlier. This upcoming weekend is a killer, but I think a split is a real possibility.
Well, Engineers, I was certain you were right--and then we beat Clarkson.
Now we head into the last weekend of the season on a 6 for 8 run. Booyakasha!

Engineers wrote: " SLU has been playing better lately but still are a terrible team." I wish this comment were completely, objectively wrong.
But it isn't. Sigh.

Great bounce-back on his part--never could understand how a goaltender can put the past aside and focus squarely and narrowly on the present.
Not bad for the rest of the guys, too. Svartstrom is starting to become a real force, as is Santilli. Let's have good games next weekend against the...

Wegmans would have to tear regular customers away from Tops and Sav A Lot, and I guess if Aldi hasn't come in, Wegmans won't, either. Let's face it, the North Country is just different--I mean, look at Kinney Drugs!
Thanks for the congrats. Brekke must have channeled Herb Brooks, I guess. Wegmans? I can now wear the tuque again in my town of Greece--just NE of Sweden! Sadly, I only make it up to Canton once or twice a year.
What sort of rivalry is SLU-Clarkson? The kind that means our season just got great, no matter what our ranking.
And I was wrong in #36 above--it's not the hockey gods granting Coach Brekke a reprieve, it's Cameron Smith and Rasmus Svartstrom, and a bunch of other guys.
