The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
As you are likely aware, human polling bias is why NPI and similar algorithms have been implemented - not claiming they are perfect but its an attempt.
If you can be patient until early January, all will be right with the world. Generally, the Poll will more closely resemble the NPI then. I'm not saying i agree, but when the pollsters start the season picking their favorites based on rosters, past history, they are more likely to defend their initial thoughts, rather than admit they were wrong, or look at W-L-T. In additional you're dealing with a lot of writers who find it easier to write about certain teams with more history/tradition/following/success than others. Be glad the NPI exists. WMU was always a victim of "little brother syndrome" to the Michigan teams until they won it all. Those days are hopefully gone forever for WMU.
