UMaine '26-'27: The Bridge On the River Stillwater

I wholeheartedly disagree that BU is a bigger rival RIGHT NOW than UNH. I trust y'all about the Walsh/Parker years, but that was generations ago. There is much more animosity between Maine and UNH these days. You can even see it here on these boards.
Yeah, you're probably right, but I will go to my grave (pretty soon, by the way) hating on BU.

It's a hard habit to break.

Good timing for the BU talk. Two shutouts of Colgate last weekend, outshooting them 69-41, and now two at Agganis. Boija and Stumer have both been sharp, so we'll see how the hate holds up.

No idea if Barr will split the goalie starts again this weekend.

He trusted Boija enough to run him back-to-back against #6 Quinnipiac and my thinking is that would be the case here. Boija's numbers against BU (2.70 GAA, .890 SV% with a 2-2-1 record in 6 GP) are just okay overall so we'll see how much he trusts PWS.

Should give us some good insight on what to expect from a potential rotation between the two going forward either way.

I also think Boija will get both games unless Friday goes horribly. I like the idea of a true rotation, but I haven't seen enough from PWS to trust him in big games yet. Vermont, UNH, Army and Miami are all smaller stakes games coming up before the second semester starts. Let's see how he does against them before throwing him out to a ranked team.

I'd lean Boija both nights too. Going back to him twice against Quinnipiac says a lot. BU at Agganis feels like a weekend you want your guy in net, and PWS can get his starts against Vermont and UNH.
