OSU @ RPI, Friday, 10/9/26

Couldn't make it to HFH. Nice start to the regular season.

For anyone who was there, what was the attendance? Lol, giving them a reason to come to another game.

We were outshot. And we blocked a lot of shots. Let's go for the home sweep tomorrow night.

Attendance was not great - probably about 2K. Getting fans back is also definitely a crawl, walk and run process that I think lags behind the on ice improvements. We are definitely still crawling in the stands, but last night was another “step” in the right direction.

Saw the game at the pub here- the broadcast kept breaking up and stalling late in the third period which was frustrating (I wasn't sure if it was the TV or me since I had imbibed quite a bit after we went up 2-0). Score obviously did not reflect the flow of the game as OSU just kept coming up ice but they were shooting at a brick wall!! Got to give our boys a ton of credit - never for a moment did they back down and gave back hit for hit. Refs seem to overlook a number of indiscretions by OSU and we spent far too much time short handed. As RB pointed out earlier, the 5 minute major killed beautifully probably was the turning point in the game. What a fun team to watch!!! And tonight the #16 ranked RPI engineers get to do this all over again. Go Red!!!!!!!!!!!!
