Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

I love when chuds cry that high taxes in MN kills business and then when you show them that just about every business indicator proves otherwise they slither away in silence.
The rhetoric is worse for California. And they are the biggest economy in the nation and in the top 5 in the world if they were a country.

The car board I watch is always talking how big of a hell hole CA is because they want clean air and people to use less fuel, so there are a ton of regulations on cars. Which also totally ignores the massive car scene in California, as if it doesn't exist.

There are cars in California? I thought everyone just rode horses...

I would have given him some grace had he pointed this out a decade ago, when it was true then. But now? No, you are very much part of the reason we are here, and you don't get to stop being a nazi and join the resistance network.

I'm tired of people trying to make people think they are not part of the problem. This is the natural position based on how republicans were talking in the 80s and faux news found ways of separating us to vote in people who's only real idea is to reduce taxes for the rich AND find ways to make them richer- either by funding their company with taxes or making sure the US pays higher rates on debt that they own the bonds for. Or all of the above.

White man's worst fear - public busses, rubbing elbows with those people.
TBF my worst fear is rubbing elbows with any people.

Have you met people?

I agree.

If I remember correctly, you and I were the only guys on here for letting the banks fail in 2008 and that article is why. The banks and all the rest of monopolies should be broken up and should have been broken up a long time ago. Just think 2 companies control the fresh Carrot market in the US, why was that allowed to happen? One example, there are many others.

Two carrot companies, only four baby formula companies. It's been a little bit since this seems to have come up, but I think there are only five or six major meat processing plant companies too.

I was right there with you. I said at the time, people who work with their hands, while it would be hard, would ultimately make it through, cause they know what hard work is, and they'd just keep doing what they'd always done.

Those soft people in suits, with their soft hands, the ones who make their living just pushing paper around, wouldn't know what to do.

Target posts an extremely racist Halloween costume for sale online.
Target gets shamed into yanking it.
Target offers a non-apology apology.

So now we know the result of undoing DEI. The racists running things do whatever they want, not being questioned about the obvious.

They still have not given me a decent reason to shop there.
