I can and will judge a person by how they vote. It makes a hell of a lot more sense and is a better litmus test than judging them based on the color of their skin. Anyone can be superficially "nice" and teach their kids the same, but then turn around and vote to bend themselves, their kids and grandkids, and their neighbors over the table. So-called "Christian" churches are littered with them.

If these "good, honest people" want respect from me, then they can educate themselves and stop voting to ratfuck 95% of the country. Until then, I will continue to think of and call them out as the white trash louts that they are. I offer no mercy or forgiveness to those who remain willfully ignorant after 40+ years of this bullshit.

Maybe in the past people wanted their kids to do better, to go to college, get educated, get a good job. But now too many parents are realizing that when their kid goes off to college they meet people who are different (some of them might be Negroes, or queers, or from another country!) and get silly ideas about equality and human rights. When they come home they don't want to listen to their homophobic xenophobic screeds and have Faux talking points recited to them. And then the kid leaves for good and doesn't want anything to do with them anymore.

Better to keep the kids uneducated and bigoted just like them so at least they won't move away to the Big City and desert the parents.
 
Otherwise who will be stuck wiping dad's ass for him when he's 85 and can't do it himself anymore? You think these sheeple can afford professional eldercare? They basically voted against it!

Roughly 25 years ago, all of us watched 2500 people die on live TV. And I watched as the GQP howl "you're either with us or with the terrorists" as they dragged us into a forever war and the surveillance state.

I also watched the early 2000s equivalent of MAGA call anyone who opposed endless war and being groped by the TSA "traitors who hated America," and started accusing all Muslims of "Sharia Law takeover!"

And with Abdul, Mamdani, Ilhan Omar, etc, that rhetoric has roared violently back to life.

They will play that shit until it doesn't work, which means they will play it until all the dummies are dead, which means they will never, ever stop. It was an old song when Mark Antony was doing it 2000 years ago. Politics is the art of getting to the bottom rung first. That's where the most votes are.

We’ll agree to disagree. I am not one to write anybody off, especially their kids. I love getting to educate kids, even in an inpatient setting. Even those from the backwoods of Kentucky.

Oh, her latest one during the end of primary season was that any entity that could not pass an audit would not get any government funding.

I wonder if that holds true for the Department of Defense, err, War, since they have either not submitted an audit or have not passed one for the last EIGHT cycles.

You know as well as anyone that only things Democrats like funded would be subject to auditing.
