I've followed college hockey for 55 years, and have never witnessed an environment such as this ("House", NIL, CHL). Without a substantial fiscal foundation, the near-term success prospects for
any new program, and even many existing programs, will be more than daunting.
The results of the recent draft may suggest that half of the conferences/programs are quickly becoming irrelevant in the grand national scheme. What sane AD would risk his/her job and reputation in this bizarre ecosystem?
