Thanks for all of the helpful info! Do you know if reducing the league matches to 17 + a tourney means teams can now schedule an additional two matches out of conference?

I don't. But the NCAA seems to be allowing more "opening season" events that allows teams to play more non-conference matches. So maybe.
 
Prompted by something I saw on Facebook:

if I counted correctly, Lacey Eden ends her Badger career having played in 149 games the Badgers won, surpassing the number of wins - 144 - Britta Curl played in.

(Because of the extra COVID half-year, they have significantly more wins as players like Hilary Knight (133) and Meghan Duggan (136), etc.)

I really hate that Covid ruined all the college record books.
 
My daughter was looking for UW Natty swag and she found some wild stuff on facebook. I thought it looked sketchy, but I decided allowed her by order 1 thing. It was better for her to get her account hacked than mine. The cost was well below what I thought it should be (maybe another red flag?). 😜 🤣 My wifepooh was not too happy about it. I emailed them a few times inquiring about the order.......crickets. My wife emailed them.......crickets. Then it showed up today. WHEW on my end and Maddy is over the moon! The front is nice but the back is awesome.

I found out this past hockey season that Lacey Eden was a very good middle distance runner in high school, and saw on Instagram that she ran Crazylegs yesterday, an annual Madison 8K road run; more than 6700 runners yesterday. (8K is just a small fraction under 5 miles.)

So I looked to see how she did.

She did pretty well. 99th place overall, 7th female overall, 4th age-group female. A time of just under 31 minutes.

(I was a pretty good runner way back when; at my best and on a really good day, I could threaten getting under 28 minutes; on a ho-hum average race day, I'd go 30 minutes or a little better. So trust me, 31 minutes is pretty darn good.)
 
Boy we are getting screwed with the timing of this new 5th year deal. If UW could have kept 1 of Edwards, Simms, KK, Eden, Jungels or Picard. Honestly Edwards could use another year of seasoning before hitting the PWHL.

Eden and Picard would not have qualified, even if "5 years" would be starting next year. Their "five year clocks" ran out at the end of this season.

While this year’s senior class won’t benefit the thought of possibly having Kelly G, Hall, Potter, and McNaughton back for a 5th year is enticing in the 1st year of the new rule.

KDS is tough Steamy! I'm not sure there is 100% recovery for that. I've had other instances when I was going to refer to her in posts, but I was able to fight through it and not do it. I do have a filter. 🤣. It seeped through this time. 🤢 I've got no complaints. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🤪

If you go to the women's page on the badger website, they've got quite the banger setup there recapping the glorious event. Super cool.
