Transfer Portal 2026

Minnesota's sitting at 12F/7D/3G for next year so they'll need at least two players out of the portal to even match last year's number of players on the roster, although it's impressive they have only lost one (who wouldn't have played) to the portal after a coaching change.
Probably 13 forwards, as it sounds like Sarah Paul will be returning after taking a redshirt.

I believe Gophers have until 4/11 to enter the portal because of the coaching change.

The press release announcing May as the new HC was 3/22 and the 5 day buffer takes the start of Minnesota's HC change transfer window to 3/27. 15 days from 3/27 would be 4/11.

I disagree with the players being happier ... It's back to pre- covid and no extra years. What does that mean? If the team is doing it right, the coach has 4 to 5 scholarships a year. If you already have players signed it means that you maybe have wriggle room for one more.

The Muzzinator move of bouncing a whole incoming class is likely to not happen again.

Only a small portion of the girls have been signed this year. That's going to have a chilling effect on the portal next year.
with regards to your comment that only a small portion of the players have been signed. Many players have signed that are not shown on the public portal pages because they rely on social media for their data. The NCAA does not share the data publicly and until the player has actually signed an official commitment will the NCAA even be aware there was a transfer to a new school. Verbal commitments dont register with the NCAA. I am aware of two D and one F in my small circle of knowledge that have landed full rides at their chosen schools yet are not listed on the portal.
