RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

his insta post says 26-27, so yes. he's having his most successful stretch of his whl career since being traded to Penticton, who won their division despite being an expansion team, splitting time with UMD commit AJ Reyelts

as a bonus, here he is fighting NHL 1st rounder and future Trojan Joshua Ravensbergen.
Question for you as the CHL expert: what is considered good goaltending? He has a combined 0.907 SV% on the year, which is good for 5th in the league, so I assume he's considered pretty good. I have no idea how to contextualize the numbers though, and he's not Penticton's full time #1 as you noted.

Looks like an excellent prospect. His CHL stats look similar to Krawchuk's, with perhaps an even stronger finish on what appears to be a defensively solid Penticton team. Obviously there are going to be some changes in our goalie room. I'll leave it to others that may have more info or willingness to speculate on what those might be.

I'm still of the belief that Coach Lang is going to find another goal scorer or two come hell or high water.

P.S. The ancient Greece angle is correct, but Ravensbergen is a future Spartan, not Trojan. He's not coming to Troy and D1 hockey hasn't reached LA yet.

BTW, In looking at McCallum I checked to see if he has any teammates that might be recruiting targets for Coach Lang. Nothing obvious, but I noted that their second leading scorer was one of Clarkson's top commits and he recently left them at the altar by signing an ELC with Seattle. Then again, with the way things are going it's only a matter of time before we see the first D1 college freshman that has NHL experience.

I think a better indication might be his play after the trade- in 21 games with Penticton he had a .918 save percentage, which is very good. in Saskatoon, they weren't that great and he never got a real shot to be the starter- their main guy already signed his ELC- so he got a better shake in Penticton, even if Reyelts got more starts.

some of that could be that they were a better team, but i think they really do trust McCallum. They didn't trust their backup before him, and Reyelts was visibly struggling with the load on back to backs. he was invited to USA world juniors selection camp early december and all of a sudden their goaltending looked like a huge problem, so they went for a veteran guy who could still command a net, maybe didnt get all the starts but could take a higher workload. McCallum fit the bill. i could see him filling a similar role with Krawchuk, who imo has earned the net after a solid freshman season.

you are correct, tired brain on it again... my theory is it was a freudian slip powered by being the daughter of a Michigan alum. it will be painful to have to watch the green things a bunch, but i will do it for the two baby sharks they will have next year.

Includes McCallum

The years the recruits are listed as arriving at RPI are not necessarily accurate.
The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.
"Hometown" is sometimes where the player was born and sometimes where he or she currently lives.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they often tweet them with committals.

STRENGTHS according to Neutral Zone (NZ rarely includes them for women):
