Is there something about giving a star defenseman the #1 Star in the final home game of the season as a reward fopr the season?

It's a tradition for your overage players to be named the 1st 2nd and 3rd star in your last home game of the regular season. That's when they have the sappy celebration, the framed jerseys and flowers etc. Burzynski couldn't be listed as a star on the website bc he wasn't dressed (LBI) but I'm guessing in arena he was announced as one.
