2025-26 Penn State Nittany Lions

Thursday Night's game is going to be a white out stealing the idea from the football team. Just found out Kampersal had/allowed his asst coach Makenna Newkirk to go to Italy to watch the Olympics. Newkirk coached Janecke at the U16 level at Naha and maybe more. The former BC captain was a great hire by Kampersal as this may have been instrumental on Janecke staying at Penn State.

Wisconsin has to be favored, but Wisconsin has lost at Pegula before.
 
With Penn Stare playing in this one do you think they'll sell enough seats to open all the seating instead of the camera side closed off?
 
Nope? Yes, Janecke's first game at Penn State, Penn State beat Wisconsin. Wisconsin won the second game. Penn State has beaten Wisconsin, Minnesota and UMD in the last four years.

Wisconsin is heavily favored Friday night, and why wouldn't they be with their juggernaut status?

You had me wondering when the women's FF had moved to a Thu/Sat format like the men, as I can't remember that in the past. Unless we are talking about the Badgers over High Point?;)
 
Pennyante State had it in their grasp. Got it to OT with a sinner team basically playing 1 period of hockey. Stupid play by #17 which could very easily have been a 5 minute major. In the end it didn't even matter as the sinners put an end to it rather quickly.
 
Heck of a season and heck of a game. Glad my Badgers pulled it out, but also good for the game to see some teams step up and go toe to toe with UW and OSU.

Nittany Lions very much deserved to be in the Frozen Four, and this performance at home with the crowd showing out is good for women's college hockey.
 
Kampersal wants to meet with the administration to gameplan to get more fans in the building for next year.

Start with getting the band at every game. Whether the band comes under the AD, I don't know, but the band director comes under some administrator. Make sure the person that is in charge of the band is part of the meetings. Getting to do the football games is huge - parlay it into women's hockey.

My suspicion is that he reads this site as he was keenly aware that some posters were bagging Penn State on only seating fans on one side.

Get a student social media content creator that will post on Tik Tok, Insta and X. And not glossy ones - the ones that appeal to the students.

Great year - there is nothing to complain about.

They need to work on scheduling, too, and stop the goofy Friday afternoon games when students are in class and people are at work. Find a way to schedule Saturday/Sunday series, when a crowd is available, and make it work around men's and women's hockey - stop making the women's schedule have to compromise because of the men's schedule.

Well you couldn’t put 5200 people on one side so it had to be opened lol. I’m sure many of the coaches read here. I have to hang up my keyboard soon cause baby girl is going to be in high school soon. Can’t be the nutso parent on the forum if she aspires to play college one day.

Love the commentary from you and the PSU crew all year.

You could be very judicious in how often "Lindsay" posts, while the newly-minted signon "LakerBuck" could be much more outspoken.
