He didn't. And he bragged about it. He is on record on the Howard Stern show as saying:

Oil now above $100 for 72 hours. It's no longer a spike. It's the new price.

Naphtha is up 45% since the start of the war. I didn't think we'd used Naphtha since Cleopatra but apparently it's really important in the plastics industry and in refining other petroleum products.

It's not good that it is over the moon.

Could it be that maybe, just maybe, running a country based on your religious beliefs is a terrible idea? Regardless of whether most of your citizens wear the cross, the yarmurkle, the thawb, or whatever it is the Persians wear for cultural identity.
