RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

Phase two renderings of the Mezzanine level posted on the last thread have this note "Remove West Suites and Offices": https://fanforum.uscho.com/threads/...tical-list-and-in-recovery.37048/post-2964467
It looks like the goal is to make that end an upper and lower club. Since the ultimate goal is to move the students to a new stand in the east end, I was hoping that Shirley's palace would become the new band stand. If that's not the case, what is the plan? I've seen nothing in any of the drawings that indicate provisions for moving them to a better location.

I can see one level being for suites and another level more casual, table tops, drinks and food.
No need for the band there if they can earn revenue from suites and table tops.

Since they need to replace the old concrete floor, perhaps they removed the glass so it wouldn't be damaged by the vibration and such resulting from that work.

Interesting first night playoff scores:
Princeton, 5-1 w 2 min to go in 3rd
Clarkson, 3-0 F
Harvard, 3-1 F
Dartmouth, 4-1 F
Union scored in the last two minutes, but Princeton still won, 5-2.

Clarkson scored two empty-netters in the final minutes to break it open, but they probably deserved to be ahead by several more goals. They outshot Quinnipiac 28-7 over the first two periods.

Given they are also proposing the addition of suites on the north side I wonder how much demand there is for premium seating and services at RPI hockey. UConn got cute and put in a rink’s end tabletop section (in addition to premium seating upstairs) that has primarily been a waste of space. Sacred Heart went all in for premium seating upstairs and seem to have done well, but I’m not sure because I’m too cheap to pay to sit up there ($60 in the Beer Garden and $125 in the Club complete with carving station).
