Thanks for documenting that. It's strange how little news comes out via press releases, etc., for players. E.g., from the point Sarah Paul was injured, there might have been more written about her if she'd gone into the witness protection program.

So when all is said and done, who winds up with the friendlier bracket for the QF? UW hosts Q coming off what figures to be a get-acclimated game. Meanwhile, tOSU has the winner of UMD and Yale. Maybe it's just a matter of who matches up with who, not that it should matter much, as the top two are just visibly better than everyone else.

But Gascon is good enough to steal a game from anyone. I get the feeling that historically over the Muzerall years, UW has had - for whatever reason - more trouble with Duluth than Ohio has. So I am certainly happy to see Duluth and Gascon going somewhere else.

It seems like home ice has figured prominently in the tOSU and UMD results. I agree on Gascon, and Tia Chan for UConn is also legit.

One comment on the tournament recognitions. My guess is that they asked for ballots early, and so people say MOP winner is person who scores the GWG. But Jordan Baxter getting that award for a flukely goal -- her only point of the Final Faceoff, over her team's goalie, who allowed one goal in two games, was unfortunate.

An even more glaring such issue was the Minnesota boy's HS all tourney team, where the runnerup had 6 players on the all-tournament team including a goaltender, while the winning team had 3. That's what happens when you need ballots in early and the defending champs rally from 3 down late to win in OT.
