UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

No idea if JP's current injury (have just heard the vague lower-body) is related to his hip(s), but I've been told that he's likely headed for offseason surgery to address that area.

Was hoping he'd be able to battle through it and get back into the lineup but with this update from Barr it doesn't sound like that'll be the case.

Bummer, but hopefully they can at least get Scott back into the lineup at the very least.
Maybe this increases the likelihood of him returning next season.

Playing with the NPI it looks like if everything tonight breaks Maine's way, the Bears could be in at-large position by the end of the evening. A win at BC in the QF would bolster them, but they would still need at least one win at the Garden. They aren't quite at autobid-or-bust, but they're close.

PC leads early, 1-0.

Young team that didn't understand how important those games were?? Or just young team maybe?
Sorry, but this isn't a throwaway game against Holy Cross or Stonehill, these are conference games against rivals. In the case of the Wildcats, a top tier rival. If they really didn't understand the gravity of those games they shouldn't be wearing the uniform. Youth and inexperience are not acceptable excuses. It would also be a massive failure in leadership from the coaching staff down. I would be disappointed beyond measure to find out that was the case.

What set of circumstances would put Maine in at large range? Just curious.

Providence won 3-1.
College is winning 1-0.
University-Lowell and UMass-UNH are tied 1-1.
And UVM Is now winning 1-0 vs Maine.

As things stand, Maine is either #6 and hosting #11 Vermont and then @ #3 UMass or #5 and heading to #4 UConn.
