BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

What a horrendous winter sports season at BU. Hockey M 13-15-2 W 9-18-3 Hoop M 11-15. W 7-17 . Heads need to roll someone has to take accountability

BC thought they had him. So they hated him. Jokes on BU. He sucked.
How about Klema?!?!?

Anyway, related to this above quote, this was pretty crazy to me when I found this in the USHR archives yesterday that links in a certain Frozen Four MOP that ended the "1949" chants at WBA:
Kobasew is a gritty, small forward who plays a high-energy skill game. An '82 birthdate, he has an 19-25-44 line in 25 games this season. As a player, he's similar to BU freshman John Sabo, though with a better shot and scoring ability.

Since the current year for both programs is in the toilet and the luster of BC's Beanpot win a whole 5 days ago was destroyed by Greg Clown last night in Andover, I thought this look back was interesting.

Serious question: How much NIL did BU pay for Boisvert’s 3 goals? And is he on a list of biggest BU busts of all time . Would be interested on who you would put on the list. Off the top of my head Kiefer Bellows and Chris Bourque. What happened to McLaughlin is he hurt ?
I don’t see how Bourque is on the list. Too bad (supposedly) he didn’t go to class too often or he might have had a nice BU career. As it is, he had a solid Freshman year, including a Beanpot OT goal.

Yes looking back he did have a good FR year I guess it was more how he left early for an AHL career . Played 50 NHL games in 18 years .

Roche’s (3rd round pick) last 2 yrs respectable 17-14-31 12-17-29. Collins ( 3rd round pick) 50-49-99 I’m good with that
Former Employee #6 regressed from his jr year to his sr (like most of the squad). He also invented that beautiful no-look-behind-the-back pass in the neutral zone that gave mookie heart attacks way to early in his life.

Brian Collin’s was a very good captain. Mookie remembers Collin’s would have joined the 100pt club as at the end of the Harvard game in Worcester he had an empty net while up big with a couple seconds left, but passed to a teammate who missed. The next night uhn shutout the terriors and eliminated the team and his career was over 😢

Ah, I like to refer to that pass as the BBH

Freddy Meyer was the captain for their senior season of 2002-03.

Hey, we have no games this weekend. I miss Todd's "By the numbers - who's in, who's out?" thread. In the interest of full disclosure, I haven't looked at the standings. Are we at least in position to host a play-in game? Will no games this weekend help or hurt? Considering two of our last three regular season games are against BC, I'm not holding out much hope for winning those three games.

Considering the teams even or just-below BU in total points have played 2-3 games fewer it would be wise to assume BU drops from current spot in 4th to 5-6th before they play their next game. It is mathematically possible to fall to 7th during the “bye week” the Terriers are enjoying.

6th, 7th or 8th gets a home game in the play-in round March 11 and my guess is BU finishes 6-8th. 5th doesn’t have a play-in game but goes on the road to 4th in the quarters (quarters are March 14).

None of that contemplates significant movement in the last 3 games … a three game winning or losing streak could move BU out of the 6-8 tranche and into better or worse seeding.
