Lindenwood is my front runner based on how they can score. Weakness is goaltending but they can outscore their problems often. The injection of talent from their CHL commits has worked out great, particularly the USports transfer sophomore Fs Giovanni Morneau, Charles Savoie, and junior D Nolan Seed. Morneau and Savoie are the only players on the independents with above a point per game and Seed leads the team in TOI. They’re also getting contributions from freshmen forwards Olivier Houde, Jacob Fletcher, and LP Fontaine. I’ve been very impressed whenever i get a chance to watch them. Keith Fisher is a great coach and has gotten impressive results. They’ve been able to surprise a few teams- a very good Miami needed OT twice to beat them, they won that DU game, even in their losses to UMD they got to one of the best goalies in Adam Gajan.
LIU is the closest in terms of scoring ability and Lassi Lehti can steal games for the Nanooks, so they’re my other two to watch out for. Lindenwood has been vulnerable to a hot goalie- see Canisius G Petter Wickström Stumer on January 3, where Lindenwood put up 75!!!! shots and lost 3-4. xG was 3.5 for Canisius and an eye watering 7.7 for Lindenwood.
