Canada coverage is much better, they concentrate on the event. There is still some derp, but much less.

And yes I know when it is a Canada game it is nearly as bad as we are.
 
Backmarker women's Olympic hockey (Italy-France) reminds me of NC$$ women in 1990. A couple players on each team know what they're doing; the rest are pylons.

By 2010, NC$$ womens hockey was completely transformed -- it became as exciting and deep as D3 mens. May the world improve at the same rate. Maybe by 2050 the NC$$ women will be indistinguishable from the men except for size and its concomitant idiocy.

Were you watching a CBC broadcast or were you watching a CBC website stream of the OBS feed? There a vast difference between the two.

Canadian, and pretty much every other country that is actually producing their own broadcast and not just picking up the OBS feed, broadcasts are not really any different. This Bell Canada ad would be slammed as jingoistic crap if it was done in red, white, and blue.

Stream. It was on "CBC - Gem", whatever that is. But the announcers were very Canadian. I impersonated a British Columbian so not to get Alberta Nazi ads.

As they were, the ads were nearly as dumb as ours except there was no medical shit because oh how about that basic human right.
 
There is a real choice when it comes to watching the Opening Ceremony because it’s not really necessary to watch live but if you don’t watch live then you’re really only left with NBC’s shitty edit.
