UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Yeah and one was a hit from behind head first into the boards by Pichette. Undisciplined and uncalled for. I think he got hit hard in the corner and took the guys number and chased him from behind and did that. It could have been a major.

Another was a leg check by Russell. Again an uncalled for hit. Another that could have been challenged for a major.

Not sure either would have been a major but the fact Bazin didn’t challenge either was odd. Seems like he has a lot less passion than he once had.
He's probably depressed about the state of college hockey and college sports in general. I think we are going to see a lot of people in collegiate athletics re-examine their career paths.

Do I blame that athletes who want a piece of the pie? Nope, NCAA is huge organization bringing in Millions every year, same with colleges so why wouldn't you feel like you should get some also. But its already changed the landscape of college athletics and I doubt as far we fans go it will be for the better. Oh well, there are far more pressing issues going right now so its the least of our issues.

The mo of this country in general is to let things fester for decades and then go nuts trying to fix things in the worst possible ways. Yeah the employees (athletes) deserve a piece of the pie......but why destroy the very thing that is bringing in the big bucks? The worst part is that everyone will claim ignorance at where it all went wrong. 🤪

I hate to speculate as to what's going on in the locker room, but it sure looks to me that there isn't a lot of cohesion to this team. Half-hearted celebrations, guys barely acknowledging each other at times.

One thing that I'm sure of: this team is less than the sum of its parts.
