MN, woman was cuffed by ice in backseat. Driver began having seizures, she asked to be uncuffed to help him. She was, she kept his airways open until paramedics arrived, and they still booked her into Whipple building anyway.

she was released later to counsel, with the condition from ICE that she tell everyone how kindly she was treated.

the last line of her story killed me. "I was hit so hard with the fact that this man would not do this for me."
 
I'm a MA guy through and through, but I've often thought that if I ever HAD to move somewhere else I'd gladly go to Minnesota. They seem to get it!
 
FEMA was asked by DHS to refer to the ice storm forecast for the south/southeast to be referred to only as "freezing rain" because DHs is scared of memes being generated about how to avoid ice... 🙄🫢

CNN: DHS officials have come to FEMA staff and told them to limit the use of the word ice…they are worried that by posting something like, watch out for the ice, that it's going to become a meme….
