The last time I recall anything about Wisconsin being invited to the WH was some number of players going on a day when similar "some players" went from championship teams of many different NCAA sports. I think after 2023, when VP Harris was 'presiding'. If a similar 'all on one day' thing happened during 2025, I didn't see it, or don't recall it.

It's called "College Athlete Day", and there was none during 2025. Trump has had a few specific teams to the WH, but not the general "College Athlete Day" event.

It's easy. It doesn't affect them whatsoever. None of them are here illegally. If you're a player and you want to make a statement on it, then go ahead. Free speech is welcome and encouraged.
 
UW at the Tommies. - Tommies aren't terrible and getting better.

This week in the WCHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.....

Last weekend before the gutting of talent and the ensuing craziness.

Tommies head very far east. I hope they get some joy out of the bus ride anyway.
St. Cloud home n home with the Tunnelers. Both team flying high. I can see neither getting full points.
Beavs at Bads. An interesting comparo of the BADgers and rodents playing the same opponent back to back.
UMD at MSU. Very interesting match-up. I can see neither getting full points.

I really sorry you see it this way. I hope one or some of them have the courage to say or do something. Lots of them identify as Christians. From the coverage I see, families who are here legally, as close as 6 miles from Ridder are being separated. US citizens are being detained, from old men at home to minors at work.

My own immigrant story is drenched in examples of the greatness and goodness of America. I never felt fully at ease until all four people in my house had the same citizenship. We are watching a horror show.

Considering my girls hockey thread had to endure pages of people fighting about trans kids, I think I’m entitled a political post.

You can post whatever you want and you should. Like I said, if they feel compelled to say something on the subject, go for it. If they feel compelled to do something, do what your heart says to do. They should not be forced to comment if they don't want to, which is kind of what you implied (I don't see how the ............players escape questions about Minneapolis). My wife has her head in the sand. She does not want to know about all the craziness going on out there. It's an individual's right to ignore or get involved as much as they want. I am personally ignoring this Minneapolis thing. I just hope that the law breakers from both "sides" get punished after fair and equitable investigations. I spend most of me free time typing things that 17 people may or may not read, but I'm having fun and not gnashing my teeth over something going on in another state that I have no control over. But that's my choice and it does not mean that another choice is wrong. It's right for me.
 
How about this weather! A high of -12 (wind chill -38) today in Juneau.........WI, colder the Rodentapapolis and Duluth! UW Madison actually cancelled classes which makes sense since there is a ton of walking once has to do. I remember walking around the UW Whitewater campus with just a slot for my eyes exposed to the weather back when I was a college youngster. The wind is supposed to die down for tomorrow and Sunday. Thankfully the walk is short from parking to the rink.
 
Mayhem abounds! UM crushing St Cloud 8 0 and the game is not over. Wow. Twsbnb taken to OT by the Tommies. Double wow. Can Kato make mayhem 3 for 3?
