UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Excited for Mistelbacher, Andersen, and McKinnon. If we can return at least 2 of 41, 43, or 93 the setup should be pretty favorable

Came across a wacky stat while looking through former CHL players current faceoff stats in college vs their last year of juniors. most freshmen centers having a tough time on that transition. on the whole a lot of guys have a few point percentage difference, but a lot of the guys who were known for having great numbers in junior are having similarly good results. OHL was led by ND's Pano Fimis at 63%, he has 61.5% so far. QMJHL was led by UNH's Félix Gagnon at 61.9%, he's at 58% this year. WHL was led by Wisco's Oliver Tulk at 65.6% who has 58.2% so far.

Jaden Lipinski was 5th in the WHL at 58.2%. What is really fascinating is his numbers in college so far... 61.6%. How often do you see someone move up a level of hockey and get better at faceoffs?

He has been excellent on his face offs. He is very good all around. Not sure what he did to get into Barr’s doghouse for a couple games. Maybe he just has the flu or something. But he came back in not demoted and played on the top line. In fact, this was the first time Maine played 3 freshmen on a line together Poirier/Lipinski/Marques. Poirier playing a lot of offwing now to set up his onetimer. He plays left face off circle on power play a lot too. But that line looked great so it seems that line will stay in tact if I had to guess. In some ways you feel for Gerrior, Langlois, and Peterson because of how well Poirier, Marques, and Lipinski are doing. We had what appears to be 7 impact freshmen when you include solid rookie goalie Rousseau. Some other freshmen have looked good as well (Usereau, Coughlin, James, and Peluso). I guess Motew isn’t a freshman, but he’s looked solid in a defensive defenseman role as well. Usereau has had some turnover issues and some poor play in his own end yet flashed at other times when moving the puck out and pinching. Coughlin has been solid but nothing that flashy, just solid. James has been a good physical and heavy player but not much scoring touch or even getting many shots off. Peluso has not been that noticeable good or bad. Seems he might be a slower to adjust type. Maine has hit it out of the park this year with the talent in the freshmen class. To the point people are picking on them a bit because they are carrying the team… no good deed goes unpunished. Maine’s upperclassmen need to come to the forefront, they did last weekend. Need to see more of that.

BC lost to WMU and Lowell beat Bentley, HE isn't a powerhouse this year. Maine is 36 in NPI, PC at 13, BC at 18 and UHN at 20

College Hockey is abuzz for the Spengler Cup and the USCS right now. However, they face off against Orono legends Devin Shore and Jakub Sirota in the semis

Is it a free stream?
It’s free, but technically illegal. Like Jacob said, it’s important not to click on any popups or messages saying your computer is infected with a virus. It’s especially important to make sure nothing gets downloaded in the background. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone over the age of 40 unless you’re familiar with illegal streaming services.
