I'll admit. I thought the Cheney gambit might work. But, the fact is the Maga folks hate old school Republicans more than Democrats. And all young white men and Hispanic people cared about was voting against Biden cause he didn't do exactly what they wanted.

BTW that is exactly what Crockett's primary challenger in TX is saying. That primary may wind up being the battle for the soul of the Democratic party. And I think it may be repeated in a lot of other places.

Jeffries is bought and sold by AIPAC, Big Tech and others. The only reason AOC and Mamdani are backing him (for now) is pragmatism. If they back a challenger and lose they lose the initiative of the battle to come. They can't risk burning their political clout trying to take down the possible next Speaker. That is why they are focusing on getting more Progressives and DSA members in position. Lander taking out Golden will be an important step.

I like Crockett but I think she is making a huge mistake entering that race. Assuming she wins the primary I dont trust Texas to elect a Democrat least alone a Black Woman to the Senate. I truly hope I am wrong though.
 
Fact is no one in the House gets anything done anyway. The Dems have to start stealing some Senate seats. Texas should be in the mix for that but their State keeps passing laws that are Unconstitutional and our Unconstitutional Supreme Court just lets it pass.

The rumors I saw yesterday that Crockett got trolled into running for Senate were apparently true. The NRSC robocalled to get her to run...total ratfucking.

That is embarrassing, but in the long run it (1) gets the better message out there, and (2) strengthens Talarico if he comes out of the primary looking like the center, particularly as he is suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper Christian. The TX Dems need to have a talk with both of them and tell them to play nice.

I know you like Crockett, and for the most part I do too, but she is a friggin lightweight who took money from Crypto and AIPAC. She talks like The Squad but she is shady like Jeffries.

You are right that Texas Dems need to circle the wagons here because the NRSC is going to pay a lot of money to put out ads in support of Crockett.
