Dump Term 2 Part 3: "But I Say Unto You, Hate Thy Enemies." -- Revulsions 5:44

It's funny. Biden tried this very thing. Telling everyone what they were feeling instead of listening to what they were saying.

Bubba is doing the same thing. And, it will work for Bubba. He will not lose any of his minions.;

We dont make decisions on feelings...

If it makes you feel any better Scooby according to Cook Political Polling The Dems are gaining significantly in the "non-college educated" area.

Yep. The gains there are not permanent though. That's a flip flop group.
Yes they are low propensity voters and never to be counted on post 9/11.

Buuuuuuut they vote their wallet in that if their wallet is empty they vote and that is usually a bad sign for the party in power. Add to the fact that the party in power is openly emptying that wallet AND cutting off accessto the saftey nets and it is compounded.

You can tell the GOP knows it too with rumors of more members retiring soon.

Do they have the crosstabs? I would love to drill down if you have a link.

The Nov elections looked like we were advancing on all fronts, with huge spikes among the utes and the Latinos.

I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that women aren't 100% Dem now. The Death Cult is strong juju.

I saw it on a show I watch but I will try and google it.

I can tell you it basically compared 2017 to now for tbe Midterms and its bad news for the GOP.

Yes. That group stays home when things are okay and grabs their pitchforks when they aren't. I do not think the economy is going to get any better for The Common Man given this administration's policies along with the built-in-systemic Neofeudalism both parties have reinforced for their donors, so I would project the GOP are looking at major losses in the midterms.

They will invent some boogeyman to try to get them over it. Maybe Dump will attack some defenseless slobs a week before the election just to ride the initial Ape Spasm for Dear Leader in times of war. But then again, why should Dump bother? It isn't like he is ever going to expend the slightest energy, let alone step out on a limb, to help the GOP. He will pardon himself in 2027, SCOTUS will approve it, and he'll skate away with the White House silverware. If the GOP burns to the ground after he leaves that's no skin off his ass.

Well, that's great and we'll take it for 2026 and maybe even 2028 if it even happens.

The problem is they believe the lies during the campaign as much as they believe they truth. And the Democrats are not just going to be able to fix their money problems. The Democrats would have to not only win in a landslide in 26 and 28 but flip their entire elected class to do that.

We needed FDR in 2020. We didn't get it. Not even close.

Though even FDR wasn't FDR until 1932. The crash made him back Leftist policies which he personally had no allegiance to. He was a consummate politician who read the room. You can see this in that he almost immediately began winding down the most radical, and most effective, portions of the New Deal as soon as we began to recover, which resulted in the double dip prolongation of the Great Depression.

The Moment makes the man. A slippery turd like Newsom could, in fact, read the room and see Occupy as the ticket to power, and ride it. I think that is exactly what is happening with Pritzker. I'm pretty sure he doesn't view billionaires per se as an existential threat.

We don't need a saint. We need an LBJ whose moves are so restricted by the electoral environment he is forced to enact good measures out of self-interest, despite his inclinations. We need a Clinton with his balls in a vise.

Same with Teddy...he was a very conservative politician (money does that) until he started in earnest to get involved in NY politics and read Upton Sinclair. He then saw the slums, how little people were making and went full Progressive. (note: this is a simplification but for the most part parallels how it went)

Assuming things go well the next two cycles we need whoever the candidate is to push their agenda like their hair is on fire. Use the bully pulpit to browbeat Congress into passing what they need done. (something Biden was not capable of doing nor was it his style) They need to be like FDR threatening the Supreme Court...sure he lost the battle of packing the Court but they took the threat seriously enough to stay out of his way or back him in cases.

If the Democrats want this to work they need to govern like there is no tomorrow.

Don’t threaten to pack the Court - do it!
Well yeah...but we know that no one will actually do that. Plus I am sure Fetterman, Kelly and the rest of the "Cabal of Centrism" will block it anyways.

A great first step in '27 will be Van Hollen being Speaker and pushing to nuke the filibuster.
