In suburban America, only white billionaires are allowed to get away with fraud. That is, unless they defraud enough other white millionaires and billionaires.

Chris Murphy? Is his name being bandied about? And why not him? Not that I necessarily want him (or don’t want him)…he just hadn’t crossed my mind yet is all.

Its pretty obvious he is going to run. That is why he is breaking with Leadership and taking every tv spot he can. Van Hollen is going to play for Senate Leader and he is going for the big prize.

My reasoning is kind of long and not worth getting into now...but lets just say I hate the idea of almost any Senate Dem as the nominee.

I guess in African dictatorships a black billionaire is allowed, and in the PRC a yellow billionaire is allowed. Otherwise it's pretty much "your table, sir" for white billionaires the world over.

Run a charismatic male under the age of 60.

He can be a balls out communist. (1) He will be called that anyway, even if he is to the right of Evan Bayh, and (2) policy doesn't matter any longer, all that matters now is tribalism and hype.

We have entered post-policy politics. Well, we have really been there since Dubya. 90% of voters lack facts, principles, and the cognitive tools for analyzing either. 90% of them pull the lever for the same party for their entire lives. The remainder vote on vibe.

Find somebody with a cock who is cool, like Bill Clinton or Barack Obama.

True but I would rather have her working policy. The pol is a hood ornament. They don't determine policy, their shop does. I would rather Liz be a power behind the throne. Just give her 100 teenage girls and have her churn out an assembly line of democratic socialists to staff our next 4 administrations.

Dump will pardon him if it comes to that.

The only way he faces consequences is he goes on vacation someday and a bounty hunter pops him and hands him to the ICC. Our Right is now the moral equivalent of Russia or Serbia, not even hiding crimes against humanity but memeing them.

Liz Warren will never be allowed or elected to an office higher than senior Senator, but I would cut off my left pinky to have her as Majority Leader over Chucky come Jan 2027. She's probably the one person I'm willing to overlook my "no one over 70 in leadership" rule for.

However, she's replaceable and probably better off inspiring the next generation as mentioned above. The bench isn't nonexistent anymore.
