Wringing hands? Saying Stewart is unfunny these days and not nearly the Progressive people pretend he is not hand wringing. You might disagree but its just a matter of taste. Stewart is just another older comedian too afraid to let go of his former status...

No one said Maddow was a high ranking problem, just pointing out she aint one of us either.

You may disagree that saying Stewart isn't a progressive isn't hand-wringing but it at the very least misses the forest for the trees. For fuck's sake this was only 3 months ago.

And if Maddow isn't "one of us" because of her salary than no one with that income is. Also if she isn't a problem why bring her up in the first place?

People are being duped constantly so that they are willingly being stolen from. That is the end game. Farmers thought hating was so important that they voted to totally end their farms- so that corporations can buy up the land and control more of the food system. Other people are convinced that murder rates in Chicago and Portland are so bad they are not complaining about inflation that is mostly driven by greed over actual shortages. And then hate in general has convinced everyone else that they should give up health care so that people they hate can't get it, too.

Heck, and ICE recruiting ad just came on TV pretending that we have some terrible immigration problem when the reality is that we are giving away our cheap labor so that Americans going into debt can become cheap labor.

It's all a distraction for greed.

And if you do the math, greed that give people so much money that there is actually no way to spend all of it in their or their kids lifetimes. And hoarding money is really bad for the economy for many reasons.

Farmers also voted to eliminate the only Hospitals they have available to them without traveling hundreds of miles in some cases.

Yes! And I, as a taxpayer, am happy that very soon I won't be paying for their care any longer. Because this is 'Murica, and we don't do socialized medicine*.

Yes America, you voted for this.


*except when we do it for seniors in the form of Medicare, prop up rural hospitals with state funds for Medicaid, etc.

Writ large, this may end the posturing illusions the Olds, the Rurals, and the West have about their "self-sufficiency." None of them are viable except for Uncle Sugar.

If you are going to argue with me...maybe read what I said and look at the context. Your little diatribe here had zero to do with my point which tells me you scanned the posts but didnt read them Sancho.

Maddow isnt a problem because of her salary she is a problem because she does nothing to protect her fellow workers despite being the most powerful voice on the network. Her salary is part of why she doesn't do it but making money in and of itself isn't an issue. Her willingness to get along by getting along is the issue.

And sorry but if all it takes to impress you is being apoplectic at Stephen A. Smith then congrats you are ebery person who had watched ESPN the last 20 years.

Speaking of which, here’s a fun article I read a couple days ago.


Not only are funding cuts closing healthcare facilities, the cultural and immigration fights themselves are making it such a pain for doctors that even where they could keep facilities, doctors don’t want to or aren’t being allowed into the country to move there to provide care.
