Haven't researched everyone, but it looks like another good class.

Certainly some guys will be missed: Breault, Wood, Scoville, Murph come to mind immediately. And good luck to Piros as he moves on.

Still, Heenan has a way of reloading every season. I expect a lot of wins this year, as per usual.

Crazy how good Utica's "financial package" is when according to that Forbes list they're in a much worse spot than caz, saint rose, and medaille were B4 they all closed

Yeah, all this chat about how much UU is paying guys is almost certainly bullshit.

Hello, Utica hockey might break even in a good year, but it's hard to imagine that it's a money maker... We're talking a very small-time sport here, right?

(Right!)

Looks a bit like a revolving door.
If you're not in the portal these days, you're a dinosaur. It's 2025, OK?

And the portal is irrelevant in this context, anyway. D-1 guys have been allowed to drop to D-3 without sitting out for decades now. All this whining is completely moot, in that light.

Lot of new guys but looks like a stacked recruiting class. Wondering if any of the D1 transfers have had decent ice time at that level before coming down.

WOW someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed...... :p :p :p :p ..."Almost certainly" ?????

Given the changes going on in college hockey today, UU's incoming recruits are pretty tame. Bemidji has guys coning in with ECHl and AHL games under their belt, and we're not talking a couple of ATO games either. They're not the only ones either.

UC ... oh, I mean UU ... fans are always so touchy.

It was obvious to anyone with a few brain cells that you were merely emphasizing the pressure Utica is under to win now that they have six D1 recruits. They have no excuses. (Not to mention, it would be obvious to anyone with a few brain cells that you are fully aware of Oswego bringing in D1 transfers in the past, so it's not like you are against it.)

And this is just the first year. We'll be looking back at this year, and saying how tame 2025-26 was overall. LOL

wow didnt know that was Kosher????

It's a relatively new development. There is a D1 signing of a player who played a whole freaking year of pro.

I kind of understand the reasoning. If you are getting paid NIL money, what's the difference if you got paid by a pro team (and they are letting CHL players in)? But, having said that, it's gotten totally out of hand. (And I'm on record saying NIL was inevitable and I was all for it.)
