SUNYAC 25-26 The start of a new era

No kidding..... damn NCAA wouldn't let freshmen be on the teams.... and there was only one east and one west team for the country in those days....
All-American definitely feels a bit watered down these days with 2 west teams and 3 east teams. Not that it isn't a big accomplishment, but SNC had at least one all-american for roughly 25 consecutive seasons. That's a sign that there are too many teams these days.

His was a time when there was one east and one west for the country, regardless of division. But your point on all the t current teams is valid.

Understood on the two total back then. I think three total (with no east/west distinction) would be a good balance today. But with the way it stands, more athletes get to claim the all-american honor and that isn't a bad thing.

Apparently Potsdam is making a coaching change. I heard rumors about it a few days ago but my sources denied knowing anything about it. Well, D-III Hockey News is now reporting it as fact. Nothing yet on any "official" sites.

Not a bad job to have, I heard they pay in pretzels :p :p :p :p :p

Mike Grace is listed as interim head coach on Potsdam faculty and staff site.
I can't believe he would make the move for an "interim" label. I suspect it has to do with the rules of NYS hiring, and they weren't able to fully do that right now with the short time period.

Also interesting -- the athletic website has no changes whatsoever.
