Good catch by IBT...over the past month we've strengthened our incoming forwards...again, Mike and his assistants are getting it done

It should look familiar Iowa! I believe the design firm that drew the plans for the '65 rink are the architects for Unions rink ( the rink is privately owned but Union will be the primary tenant). While it looks a lot sleeker on the outside (I am partial to how great the '65 rink looks) on the inside, it will look very similar the Gate's barn. At last check, they were a bit ahead of schedule and will likely be turning the rink over to the school in time for the players return in August. Thanks, Rainman. You made my day!!
I follow schedule postings and was disappointed not to see us listed on any of the NCHC schedules that have been released to date. It is no secret that I want us to play a stronger schedule of non-conference opponents (and I use the number of previous year’s NCAA Tournament opponents as one of my yardsticks). Boston University for two games is a great start for 2025-26.
Finally, on Thursday, I drove up to Airborne Speedway Park in Plattsburgh, N.Y., from my home in Owego, N.Y., and my GPS took me right by Union College’s new (under-construction) Mohawk Harbor Events Center arena. It looks fantastic!
I-90 is tolled for most of its length from the Wisconsin/Illinois state line to its eastern terminus in Boston. I can understand the hate for it.Wicked, I researched it a little when I got home and noticed that it stated 2,200 for hockey, which sounded quite familiar. he he he
As for my GPS, since I am retired and have the time, I often set it to ‘no tolls’ and ‘no highways.’ In this case, I took I-86 to I-88, but then went around Albany on back roads (Rotterdam, Schenectady, Ballston Spa, Malta) and joined I-87 around Saratoga Springs. The three interstates that I took, I don’t mind. But I hate I-81 and I-90 as much as I hate the Cornell and North Dakota hockey programs.
This is what I have seen so far on the Internet, so the assumption is that it is all 100% accurate…

Army was #4 in the country !!Not hockey, but this is pretty impressive for Colgate men’s lacrosse (which entered the 6-team Patriot League tourney as the number 5 seed)…

SIX goalies ? That seems excessive.... I gotta think 2 or 3 of those kids won't be on campus in the fall... Why would a kid enroll knowing he is keeper #5 or 6 ? You wouldn't even get ice time in practice !I don't post much in the offseason but I noticed we will not have a shortage of players next year. Six goalies, with a very good one and a 6 foot four Boston draft pick. Eighteen forwards and eleven defensemen. Never have I seen these numbers.
Ha ha ...exactly ! I suspect that with the portal uncertainties foisted upon everyone, teams must overrecruit by necessity, a technique formerly reserved for the blue chip programs....I don’t know Wicked, I hope they all stay. How easy would it be to get a puck past six goalies in net?
