Well of course we wish RC the best but here's the thing...its a direct reflection of just how UNH is failing to develop players to their potential.

This..is hardly news...

I suspect they'll be more concerned with production and team performance than whether he gladhands the STH and high fives kids in the tunnel.

Interesting that the attitude issues you've mentioned are from other folks in the stands. Any idea if he was unpopular in the locker room / with coaches while in Durham?

When did I say that what I've heard was from people in the stands? I didn't.

Like Chuck, I have sources too. As mentioned, the hockey community is small. Word travels fast. Especially, in Durham.
 
James Richmond, former UNH great from the '80s, is the GM of the Brampton OHL team that has Porter Martone, a top pick in the NHL 2025 draft. He potentially could be a Bruin. Since the major juniors are now new and fertile recruiting ground for NCAA teams, I wonder what other UNH alums are in coaching or management positions on OHL teams. I also wonder if Richmond advised UNH regarding the 4 kids they are bringing in from the O.

You said it here and everything you've mentioned with anything resembling specificity refers to his interaction with fans and kids. When pressed for any detail on what you've gotten from "sources" you say you can't talk about attitude issues publicly, after repeatedly talking about attitude issues publicly.

Grouchy: This is legitimately the nastiest type of hyperbole that can be posted on social media. It's nothing more than smug, nasty, unattributed innuendo. I do find it ironic that Norbert, Buford, Elwood, and some others including you take issue with my anonymous shots of some of the posters on this board, who after all post and therefore are part of the social media game, yet spread WITHOUT attribution this garbage about Conmy's character.

I know that I said that. I wrote it. Have I observed his attitude upclose and first hand interacting with the public. You bet. Have other fans witnessed it? Yes.

It has been discussed amongst STHs along the lines of, "Is it just me or is RC...."

That said, the "real" intel comes from other people I know, who names I won't reveal, whose affiliations are no business of yours and have direct knowledge of the situation.

I've observed certain things causing me to question his attitude based on his interaction with fans and kids (not my own).

Other fans have seen and mentioned the same things over the course of the last two seasons.

I'm not going into specific detail publicly or privately about other things that have been shared about him or any current, former or future player.

I loved him as a player. Definitely would want him in my foxhole. My guess is 'Watcher had some interaction with him back in the UNHHDA

I have never asked for the names of your "sources" or even their affiliations, not once. Just curious what they have suggested to you, because you seem to have no problem being circumspect about his "major attitude issues" but take a hard moral stance against providing any detail whatsoever.

Again, I think it is funny to claim moral superiority about preserving "sources" but not against sullying a kid's name online.

The problem is that a troll like Potroast is not in and around the team, Durham, or other fans. He can't believe that people actually talk and gather information. I am not going to out people based on conversations, those as recently as this weekend in the know.

I say this because all the kids that play college hockey are amateurs. Their families and friends attend the games and read this site. For you to impugn the character of a young man that simply plays hockey for a college team without evidence is disgusting.
