University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Cardiac Black Bears strike again. Northeastern has been opportunistic and pushed when they needed to Maine. Took Maine a while to wake up but the last half of that 3rd period was much better.

Anybody want to change their mind about the value of the early game?

At this point, I'd put UConn as the favorite tomorrow. They've got their feet up relaxing. If Maine had played the early game, not only would this winner have more time to get back in sync, UConn would have had their routine and timing interrupted.

Not really. IF we win maybe going on fumes is best for us

Northeastern has more blocks than a dang Lego set.

Really liked the way Maine played in the first OT. Score early in this next OT and rest up as much as possible.

No. If the game goes several overtimes and finishes after midnight then maybe. Maine will be back at the Sonesta at about 1230 or 1 and the players will sleep in late in the morning. By the time 7:30 rolls around tomorrow night this will be little more than a memory.

Exhale.

Ill have to check the two box scores but this is either the longest or second longest hockey game I ever personally attended.

NU should have been golfing weeks ago, but it was a lucky bounce away from displacling a team that actually has earned a bid... Fuck me running, this AQ " calculus" is moronic at best, no two ways about it.

OK, having ranted, I'm happy that Maine won a game that it sure as Hell deserved to win.

But, as others have mentioned, UConn had an earlier and easier game, and should be fresher tomorrow.

A perfect storm for the Huskies.
