This article states that one of our recruits is receiving $500,000. Even if RPI is paying players and it includes tuition and it is over 4 years I don't believe that RPI would give anyone $500,000.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its a typo....unless some well-heeled Austrian RPI alum bankrolled the kid. My guess......strictly that .... is it might be $50,000 in scholarship $$$...I posted this on the recruits thread, but I will post it here also since not everyone reads that. Not only that but he's a great coach... including working with Merrimack keepers Ollas, Borgiel and now the big Swede Lundgren at Mack....he is now Associate HC.

The 500k is described as a "scholarship". RPI is $90k per year all-in these days, so you're looking at $360k for a four-year degree. Maybe it also includes potential scholarship for graduate studies if the player finishes early.
