Chrysler doesn't have an EV wing as far as the other major corps do, right? That would make them pretty interested because gas powered vehicles will be banned within our lifetimes from several major markets.

Really...how did that work out for Facebook?

Plenty are leaving but most of the people I follow (non-entertainment people) are staying to face down the madness. We will see how long I last but I don't think ceding the Rhineland to the Nazis is the right play just yet.

Who provides Twitter with its server services? If they run afoul of Amazon’s or Google’s TOS, they will find themselves in 8chanland, except that whoever’s servers won’t have the capacity to provide reliable service. That will kill Twitter.

Actually, what May save Twitter is the EU and it’s content requirements. If Musk wants Twitter in Europe, then it has to abide.

I dunno...but that is a very good point. If they don't want to end up like Parler they better watch themselves.

Do you think cons will no longer want to repeal 230?

I assumed twitter was dead product walking until you wrote that last sentence.

Assuming Musk is simply a bottom feeder ballyhoo man like Murdoch, he's going to have to walk that tightrope. But he'll probably make that walk the gawk. "Will this be the week the site goes full Nazi?"

I can see twitter becoming a purely self-referential social media subject which exists to comment on itself. A closed eco-system. The media is the message.

Cons won’t remember what 230 is or that it was ever a thing. Parler and Truth might make another failed stab at it until somebody reminds them that they’d be subject to it, too.

also, Twitter has to maintain its standing with Apple and Google if it wants to remain a supported app. There’s too much riding on them complying with society’s proxies for rules setters that they can’t go the way Musk wants. And there are too many next-apps waiting in the wings to usurp Twitter’s status with us oldies.

He's going to learn the hard way that moderation policies aren't made for "snowflakes", but to please advertisers for $$$.
 
Truth is DOA all the cons who were "leaving" Twitter are already back. The suspended ones outside of the Fat Fuckwit deleted their bad tweets and are back at it. (Tucker did this and people thought it was cause Musk freed him)

Twitter will have time before anyone sure them out...and Apple has little issue copying up to fascists even though their leader would be killed by those very fascists.
 
So the terms Twitter laid out when Musk offered to buy it was "don't sh** on the product you're buying," all while that's *all* Musk has been doing.

Pretty sure the sale isn't gonna go through.

The price of Twitter is now a reflection of the likelihood of the deal going through.
