The States: Where We Wish Texas Would Secede Already

I have people I love in Ottawa County. However, for those who care, there's a reason I left. There's a group called "Ottawa Impact" forming, and count the dog whistles in their mission statement. Lots of Derp.

“Ottawa Impact celebrates America’s rich heritage as an exceptional nation blessed by God. This is exemplified by Ottawa County. We engage in local politics to preserve and protect our constitutional freedoms and the values dear to our communities, including defending innocent life, the nuclear family, and our nation’s Judeo-Christian heritage. We oppose the movement towards socialism through progressive indoctrination of our County and America’s youth.”

What's that crap at the top of Minnesota? Is that the iron range?

The Mesabi, Vermillion, and Gunflint Ranges. Them and sometimes the Cuyuna Ranges are together known as the Iron Range. Where highest point on the map is pretty closely corresponds to where Eagle Mountain is, which is still only about 2300 feet.

I had no idea there was anything between the Appalachians and the Rockies that I couldn't spit over.

When you're state is suffering from "widespread drought conditions, low humidity, high wind, and high temperatures that create serious peril", what better thing to do than push for fireworks at Mount Rushmore?

The mountain range, called the Sawtooth Mountains, which is very common name for small mountain ranges, I learned a couple years ago. They run right along the shores of Lake Superior, as already said, is called the Gunflint Trail. The Iron Range is mostly west of those mountains.

With exception to the Sawtooth Mountains, MN is mostly flat, but it's at a fairly high elevation, around 1200 ft, on average. Those mountains peak out at 2300 ft.

Don't sleep on the Ozarks, either - they also top out around 2700 ft, but surrounding area is very low due to the Mississippi basin, so clearing those takes some pretty credible expectorating.

Mount Magazine would be a serious loogie to hock (it's in Arkansas, so I assume someone has tried).

Might as well just kick the poor kids out of the school while they’re at it

House Republicans are advancing a bill that would fine Michiganders $1,000 who have a CDC vaccine card. You know, the card that is provided when you get the vaccine. The card you need to get your second dose. #mileg

If you read the comments there is a lot of semantical arguments about who gets fined or why because the bill is so poorly written.

what the fuc...?

Nazis gonna Nazi.

Why is this hard to understand?

They have showed us who they are. There are no surprises. If they start murdering people in the streets it will not be a surprise.

I swear to God some of you still refuse to see.
